New comes out of new, the power of a new time summons deep optimism, the kind of optimism that changes minds, the kind of new ideas that engineer thoughts and beliefs.
The year is 2036 and the president will be Henrique Artemus Vespa.
He will be the most powerful man on earth and Change south America forever.
The current President Jair Bolsonaro makes a good attempt at quelling Brazil's socialist left, which preaches equality for all, which ends in rewarded mediocrity and equality in regions and municipals where their politicians are less corrupt. This is not to say the liberal right are traditionally better, and their cronism has similar consequences.
Bolsonaro is currently working on an attempt develop a political dynasty within Brazil. If it wasn't for his personal ambitions for his sons, he could have laid down the law for Brazil. However his sons are big trouble. Eduardo is a hot head who worships rightwing idealogies, that his father used to. Eduardo is outspoken and highly violent. And beyond that he is incredibly ambitious. The other brother Flavio has been connected to several political scandals. The family itself is connected to a milicia group operating in and around Rio. And we might all believe they have the best of intentions but that remains to be seen.
Beyond these and other concerns, Bolsonaro does not behave in a presidential manner, making jokes that are in poor taste and going as far as to offend people who could be potentially valuable to the movement of ridding Brazil of it's mediocrity and obsession with nice appearances, and giving Brazil real results and long term solutions not just for a reasonable quality of life, but dominance over south America, high influence over global business and a force to be reckoned with on all fronts.
Many doubt Bolsonaro can hold out until 2022, he may even doubt himself.
The point is returning to traditional center left politics will cripple Brazil. Because there is no real idealogy in these politicians and parties, they are simply toll booths to collect their piece of the revenue and an illegal piece that is not theirs. The liberal party "Novo" offer hope. But center left parties and politicians have already established their systems and positions making it impossible to deal with them with out paying for it with illegal funds.
Bolsonaro is just finding out how complicated and fickle it is to deal with the Traditional corrupt politicians of Brazil. He hasn't even attempted to call any of them out. And he is begging like a street bum to get enough support to pass the minimum number of acts and bills to keep himself in government.
The common Brazilian Politician understands only one thing, how to exploit the system and make sure it stays in place. Bolsonaro's efforts are yet to be seen to have any effect on the level of corruption. As his son has been connected to corruption. Bolsonaro also has to do the bidding of a corrupt high Government figure called "Rodrigo Maia".
When Vespa comes neither left nor right will be safe for traditional politicans. Brazil will not know itself as one ideal. But as a power that will do whatever it takes to advance.
Vespa is most proabaly in his teens right now. He's still in school and may not even have a real idea of what political life will be like. When he comes to power he will create a storm and his popularity will reach every South American country. Some of the reason that Brazil will make this sudden climb in power is directly from outside forces including Brazil's clever future investments. But more so by a generation of young Brazilians who hate the mediocrity and the hypocrisy and double speak of politicians and leaders who have zero integrity.
Brazil becomes more austere as it focuses less on events like Carnaval and dancing. And starts to create a timeline of success.
After Bolsonaro fails to prove that his alternative for government was better, the liberals will take over. Most of their party more honest than Bolsonaro's PSL. But traditional parties will still outweigh the Libs and sabotage their every move. They will make dirty moves, until the Libs start learning their moves. They will eventually form their own behind the scenes network of "Hitmen" uncorruptible. These men will make life very unpleasant for the corrupt. But in the end all will come to a stalemate, the healthy economy the only thing keeping the country going.
By 2025 Brazil will have some of it's own big tech companies. Beyond that they will be more invested in the newest tech. This is a small point in Brazil's growth to 2030. Some reforms will have been made by then opening up a more optimistic political future for Brazil.
By 2030 Brazil will not only be supplying most of the world's soil grown food, but they will continue investing in technology. Vespa comes out of one these tech sectors with a doctrine of national greatness for the common Brazilian. The party that Vespa is a part of, disintegrates and creates more than 3 fringe groups. One of those fringe groups has direct ties to an organization that has invested in and become a part of off planet mining initiatives. This fringe group is called "Caminho frente" and Vespa holds a central position in it's leadership.
This is a time when Vespa develops a following that shocks Power players in popular media and journalism, intimidates the waning evangelic church movements and antagonizes what is left of corrupt traditional politicians and their dynastic legacies.
The 2030 Liberal Government has made a coalition with a socialist party and corruption is dying off slowly but surely. Not convincing anyone that their government is actually contributing anything to the growing eonomy. And being scrutinized and ridiculed by the new fringe groups that are building vigor and slowly meddling and assaulting the mainstream all to the delight of a new generation of youth who have been empowered to be ambitious and powerful, instead of humble and cheerful.
By 2033 those mining initiatives become so lucrative, the impact of the sheer volume of minerals coming back to earth from an asteroid belt very close to mars. This temporarily destroys all major economies including China's economy. India revives pretty quick, but is still knocked back behind Brazil. Brazilian private investors and economists get tipped off by their contacts within the mining initiative. Brazil goes untouched by the severe recessions plaguing all of the traditional first world countries. They also make strategic and generously termed loans to India as they dominate long term visions for capitalism. And rightly predict India's comeback. Parts of developed west Africa start to make deals with Brazil, some of which consolidate mega infrastructure projects that a new wave of Super Brazilian Engineers get involved in. Further curving the economic stability upward. The Brazilian economy booms and a huge wave of immigration from other latin countries starts. By 2035 Brazil's cities southern cities are overpopulated.
Europe's economy is driven down from mid 2034 and only revives by 2038. Germany leading like always closely followed by France and Scandanavia. The mediterranean struggling not to fall under local collaborators who were economically and or politically aligned with the global "forward path". Italy, Spain and Greece looking to Germany to stop insurgence of the "Forward path" philosophy which promised to turn Europe on it's head making the southern euro zone countries the masters and northern and central eurozone countries the followers and subjugated. Germany, like China and the U.S.A was distracted, even though it was economically stable again. Germany couldn't organize itself to protect eastern Europe from an ever restless and ambitious Russia, whom Brazil had chosen to exclude specifically to play Europe and Asia.
With the exception of Portugal, the original colonizer of Brazil. Brazil had no real interest in conquering or ruling over Italy or Greece. Portugal though was a priority for the "forward path" because if diplomacy went awry, Brazil's new leader Vespa wanted an entry point into the old countries. It was also an exercise in inverting the powers of the hemispheres, recruting a large portion of Portuguese and even Brazilian politicians to shape the nation the way Vespa saw fit. Which included expanding their airports, seaports and even space ports for operations connected to Brazilian interests. From Portugal "Forward path" spies enter spain and reignite tensions between Barcelona and the rest of spain. Providing arms and even small teams of overzealous South American troops to provoke hostilities. Spain's government always on it's back foot, as agents working for "forward path" and catalonian independence, manipulated the stories and showed the Catalonian's as victims when in actual fact, government forces took high casualties in almost every skirmish with the forward path's secret army.
Vespa hits social media and becomes more famous for his works across the northeast of Brazil creating technological irrigation solutions and enriching small towns across the northeast by converting desert cheap earth into irrigated and tilled farms. Then making political speeches and confronting local governors face to face, Then talking nonstop through t.v interviews about the necessity for Brazil to be the first country to lead the "new world".
Before Vespa gets to power, thousands of corrupt and violent leaders within the northeast are lynched and all is posted online.
It is rumoured that Vespa uses the heads of the other fringe groups to prevent retribution on the northeast and brings them back together under the simple banner of "caminho frente". Using the new alliance of groups and whole new source of knowledge, he leads marches through different Brazilian cities. And creates the start of a dynamic and highly trained border army.
By 2036 he gets into power and gets a fanatical following as the abundance continues until the late 2050s. Toward this time China and Russia fail at fusing their countries together. And sporadic violence ends up distracting both countries from international matters. The U.S.A makes attempts to reclaim power over the world again. But conflict with Brazil backed Mexico and lack the finances and resources stops their progress. Brazil invites the U.S.A to join off earth "space" military and operate in second place. Brazil actually bankrolls the U.S army keeping it going for the benefit of the "forward path" and providing U.S soldiers with ample salaries. But in the agreement Mexico is given part of Texas and Arizona back to it's territory. And tension grows there, completely distracting the U.S.A from more important affairs. India and Brazil work together on huge food production deals creating new farming cities and making demands over the rest of the world. As Europe and the rest of Asia have real challenges in food production.
To make matters worse Vespa recruits all terraforming and food production experts for initiatives on Mars. But uses customized techniques derived from their ideas to terraform parts of Brazil, Africa and India creating a monopoly in on world and off world food production.
The United states and Canada making some attempts to compete, making enough to supplement their economies for their relationships with Europe.
"Forward path" never really breaks these ties. And Canada and Britain continue to antagonize Brazil, causing little complications that never really add up to real threats. By 2040 U.S.A refuses to offer military support to the "Forward path". Turning down billions of dollars of economic support from Brazil. Vespa acts in a split second like he was waiting. Forming the trination's army, which was Indians, west Africans and Brazilians with some other south american countires present.
Vespa takes Hawaii, Guam and Porto Rico from the U.S.A. And gives Mexican Border military units top of the line short distance and long distance ballastic weaponry. Canada, Britain and the U.S.A protest and attempt to rally support for U.S.A, so that Brazil would give those territories back. Vespa gives both Canada and Britain a few small but very lucrative trade deals, and once again the U.S.A is on it's own.
By 2038 Brazil buys the most developed and sophisticated moonbase from China, building a domed city onto it's periphery, and a subterranean industrial factory complex underneath.
West Africa and India invest in it and share it it's impact on space mining and influence in a spreading off world civilization.
2037 Vespa starts his campaign to make Paraguay look like the vicious younger brother, knowing very well some of Brazil's most dispicable corrupt figures fleed there after purges across the northeast. Peru and Bolivia handed over the few that tried to escape there trying to win points with Brazil. Columbia and Venezuela was just too full of "caminho frente" spies and by Vespa's reign are completely politically aligned with Brazil and echo all Vespian ideas, also feeling the effects of major improvements in their infrastructures and amazing advantages in their commerce. Paraguay accepted the runaway crooks, however "caminho frente" intelligence unit operating with the complete support federal police, knew all about them.
In 2039 Vespa assembles one of the fanatic armies of Brazil with west African forces loyal to Brazil to annex Paraguay. Paraguay intially searches for support from Europe, U.S.A and Canada. But the media attention has been solely about the corrupt exiles and escapees that plot against Brazil from the little landlocked paradise. Uruguay and Argentina protest. But quieten down after a few ominous warnings occur.
