In a galaxy within close proximity to the milky way one planet thrived and became the foundation to a vast empire. Inhabited by humans that had almost through accident arrived there.
Their empire expanded as they learned how to outsmart the predators of the planet and spread into different regions of the planet exploiting all manner of minerals and plant materials.
Gone were the rebel Abraks and the dozen giant species of predator Even the great seas of the Wagron planet which spanned the circle of the equator separating north and south, were despite huge winds mostly safe to travel.
Wagron technology advanced much faster than it did on earth. For two reasons, food and mineral resources were always abundant. Wagronians were under constant threat from the very beginning of their time on the planet by wild megalizards among other killers. Their way of life depended on their innovation of defense and their boldness to attack.
Wagronians built their first interplanetary craft after 800 years on the planet. Lucky for them the closest planet and two moons were within a relatively short distance. One of the two moons was habitable and within a short time Wagronians had colonized one of their moons and the next planet "Hugron". To protect the new settlements and prevent settlers from rebelling and separating from the empire the most loyal military officials would accompany the colonies.
Over a thousand years the five abundant and reasonably habitable planets of their solar system were occupies and colonized by the Wagrons. And each time they faced a foreign disease or strange predator or predators they always found a way to overcome it. And their technology and innovation advanced so far that even several of the uninhabitable planets of their solar system were being colonized purely for the objective of mining. As soon as wagrons ventured to other solar systems nearby their life expectancy had gone from 50-60 years from the year they had arrived an ignorant and confused people trying to survive, to well over 250 years and the elite 300 years.
Half of their galaxy was now inhabited by them, several other less advanced civilizations similar to humans challenged the Wagrons but were crushed in almost every open battle. Following defeats the civilizations became vassals for the Wagrons. One of the major advantages was Wagrons long life and ability to accumulate knowledge and wisdom that could be directly used in their expansion.
Before their journey into space they spent centuries fighting their cunning separatist counterparts on Wagron, The Abraks. The abraks were not in the least stupid and could use the wild to defeat Wagrons at every turn. They also used the lands abundant predator populations to attack and devastate the outer periphery of Wagron territory. The Abrak in the end were defeated again and again as Wagron tech grew incredibly complex at the discovery of new minerals and the invention of new weapons. They were left in the forests to live with the few predators that survived the great purge. The lords of Wagron let them live in areas of the planet that had nothing valuable to the expansion of the empire. And the Abraks accepted terms signed treaties and tended to the parts of the forests they were allowed and deforested mined out zones were Abraks could replant forest raise crops and slowly bring back to life. To guarantee relations natural and fresh forest foods were sold in rural city's markets the quality often surpassing the empire's own farmers.
By this Abraks could spend money in their cities, buy and use Wagron tech to build their own energy sources and in some cases small towns outside forests. However, Abrak who lived in cities were always tracked and followed by spies working for agents of the Wagron Empire.
It ha made Wagron people experts on how to occupy and control. The Abrak were not stupid and had the Wagron not been as organized or as evolved, Abrak usurpers would have sabotaged their power stations and raided their military compounds and taken them back to ground zero.
And when Wagron made contact with the first developed and hostile civilizations of their galaxy it wasn't by chance that they conquered.
Hostile civilization 1. Yeraplex Zandroxo
Yeraplex Zandroxo was the leader of the droxos.
A type of human who had three large toes instead of five on the foot and two fingers and one thumb on each hand, their skin was light bluish and their facial features thicker and more hardened than those of our own. They had been an advanced race for many millennia and governed over more than 100 star systems. Their weapons were amazing, They had the technology to destroy whole planets at a time. But like the Wagrons wanted to avoid that level of destruction at all costs and preferred to launch armies that would later survey, control, colonize and tax habitable planets.
Yeraplex was extremely concerned when radiowave detectors picked up signs of the Wagron advance. Wagron's were newer and more ambitious. Droxos hadn't expanded much more than one planet in a whole decade. Their huge empire needed constant maintenance and armies were sent out every other week to quell insurrections and rebellions. The Wagrons on the other hand had begun colonizing planets where life hadn't evolved to be so intelligent and yet resources and dozens of incredibly effective fuel souces were found that allowed Wagron expansion forces to turn light years into light seconds. And momentum gathered at such a pace there were campaigns on Wagronia planet itself to recruit and educate Abraks to join colonies and the military which for a time created even more hamony between the two people's. The Wagron people skipped the gunpowder phase in the evolution of their firearms going straight into rudimentary lazers and pulse weapons, to later automatic lazer cannons and pulse fuzil assault weapons that could do the sort of damage a gattling gun would with the precision of a light weight rifle.
Yeraplex went straight into researching the Wagron, their whole empire their modern communications, weaponry and their whole history.
Wagron Lord Gyinrad Of Mer-Bellion
Four lords governed Wagronia and it's territories, three of them spent their time in the closest star systems to Wagron where they administrated thousands of operations and projects.
The lord who remained on wagron was called lord Gyinrad of Mer-Bellion An older man who came from the last battles with the Abrak, who had advanced through the ranks of the fighting forces in the thickest most tropical of jungles on Wagronia and defeated again and again the cunning Abraks. He was was often the front line thus he was wounded often. After the Abraks had been defeated he had one artificial leg one artificial eye and many of the ribs in his chest were metallic.
Gyinrad had set up a transmission for Yeraplex that would be set up to be hacked as if it were sensitive information. There Gyinrad had engineered a hoax video of specific areas within the Droxo's empire where it appeared Wagron spies had already infiltrated and compromised.
When Yeraplex and his board of Droxo counsellors saw the video they set about to find and arrest all officials in the regions stated in the video. Which were of course the planets and moons with the highest levels of military technology. As chaos and distrust destabilized the strong and expansive empire Yeraplex ruled over, the Wagrons sneaked into the smaller less defended military outposts of the droxos. After the initial skirmishes and full blown battles which were very costly to the Wagron soldiers, Wagron soldiers pillaged Droxo military hardware and took tens of thousands of prisoners who would later have implants, tiny microchips that slipped into an area of the frontal lobe that controlled their mind and set them to work as slaves making exact copies of the Droxo's effective guns, cannons and other strange but effective arsenal. wagron's lost 300,000 soldiers the Droxo's less than 25,000. But Droxo tech was being mass produced.
Yeraplex responded in kind attacking and occupying Wagron's most closest settlements to the Droxo empire. Though nice planets with very good living conditions, high populations and productive to the empire they were not strategic points for the Wagron's fighting force. And as Droxo prisoners mass produced their weapons Yeraplex was forced to divide his rule between his six brothers some of whom were incredibly ambitious and unscrupulous, at first Wagron incursions were stopped and Yeraplex managed to build armies organized enough to cut into the advancing Wagrons. but wagron's were never interested in fighting in one theater of war and would offer Non Droxo (of four different kinds of Dna all more human than the Droxos but less evolved vassals of the Droxos, the many leaders and their peoples on the outer systems of the Droxo empire) very good terms including integration and part citizenship into Wagron empire. The Droxos were slow and failed to win back the outer systems and could not convince their vassals to stay loyal.
After one battle Yeraplex and his brothers had one an incredible battle against the Wagron and taken 100,000 of their men prisoner. From these prisoners he was able to find out just what kind of people the Wagron's were. That they were there to take over everything and go even further into the galaxy. that Yeraplex would have to attack with everything now and destroy their center or be slowly defeated.
Gyinrad set a meeting up with ambassadors and Wagrons who had learned and mastered the language and culture. Yeraplex sent his few ambassadors. They were to negotiate a peace treaty with the outer systems, so that the non Droxo would opt in Wagron's favor and not be directly punished by the Droxo. Yeraplex used this as his chance and sent a huge armada around their part of the galaxy toward the center of the Wagron Empire, on board they had billions of soldiers and a few million robotic tanks to give support. They would strike at the heart and then expand their own empire
It was almost perfect, except for one thing Gyinrad mer-Bellion had installed cannons on all of the moons that orbited the major planets of the Wagron Emperial center. On arrival two of Yeraplex's brothers a lot of military hardware and a billion soldiers were all obliterated. the surviving force although formidable had to flee and as they did so were chased down by state of the art fighter crafts that could keep up with Droxo small fighters and send missiles of substantial firepower into the mega frigates.
Lord Pyxter of the Wagron retaliated even further eating a whole into the Droxo empire destroying entire planets habitated by billions and billions of Droxo sentient beings with grand Droxo planet destroying cannons. Using the least resources as possible pyxter took major food planets and destroyed them completely. Yeraplex surrendered after reports reached Droxo's emperial center.
Lord Graton of the Wagron took Yeraplex's place and Yeraplex and all emperial leaders of the Droxo were exiled to a planet where other rebels of the Wagron and helpers of the Droxo had been sent.
Once there they would have to watch on big screens all of the conquests and successes of the Wagron as it advanced through the galaxy.
Lord Graton learned to speak Droxo and administrated the fallen empire well. Large areas of the Droxo empire were freed and given independence so long as they produced and traded with the empire and trained large armies to the wagron standards to be ready for conscription into central forces at any time. The Droxo's didn't enjoy the same treatment and were forced to pay a lot of taxes, prohibited from using all travel communication or military technology and worked long hours on the planets with fewer resources working in fields or factories. They were monitored by trillions of cameras and punished at any sign of conspiracy.
Lord Gyinrad Mer-Bellion had aged after the twenty year war that had raged between the Droxo's and Wagrons. In which tens of billions on the side of the Droxo and almost a billion Wagron soldiers perished.
